Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
When you enter a name or a date of birth into a search box on this site, that entry goes to the outside company that runs the search. The company processes the query and returns the results. We do not keep or log what you typed.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you email us, we hold on to the message so we can answer it. It stays with our team and goes no further unless the law requires otherwise.
Data We Gather Automatically
Each time a page loads, our servers record a few technical facts about the visit:
- The device IP address
- The browser and its version
- The device type and operating system
- Which pages were viewed and how long each stayed open
- The referring site, when there was one
- A timestamp for every page view
Cookies and Analytics
We also set cookies, which are small files your device stores. They show us how the site is used, including which pages draw traffic and where readers leave. Analytics providers help us combine those numbers into reports. You can block cookies in your browser settings at any time, though a few parts of the site may behave differently if you do.
What We Do With This Data
- Keeping the site online and loading quickly
- Passing your query to the correct partner service
- Seeing which pages help readers and which need work
- Finding and fixing technical problems
- Serving advertising that may relate to your interests
No Warrant Data on File
This site does not keep, compile, host, or sell any database of warrants or personal warrant information. What we publish is general guidance on where Richland Parish warrant records sit and how to reach them through the Sheriff's Office, the courts that issue process, and any statewide system that exists.
We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and nothing we gather about visitors is turned into a consumer report or a file on any third party.
Third-Party Search Partners
The search boxes here belong to outside companies. Whatever you type into one of them is handled under that company's privacy policy, not this one. Those companies decide how long they keep data, who they share it with, and how they use it, and we have no say in any of that. Read their policy before you submit a search.
Links to Other Websites
We link out to sheriff's office pages, court portals, public defender offices, and search tools. Following one of those links takes you off this site, and the destination's privacy policy then applies to your visit. Read it before you share personal details.
Some advertising partners track activity across sites to target ads. That tracking runs on their systems rather than ours.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Some information can still reach the following parties:
- Search partners that handle the queries you run here
- Analytics providers that measure traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place advertising on our pages
- Law enforcement or government offices responding to a valid legal order
How We Protect Your Data
We use standard security practices to guard the information we collect. Nothing connected to the internet is completely safe, though, so we cannot promise that a breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
This site is built for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us data, contact us and we will remove it.
Your Data Rights
Depending on where you live, Louisiana law or federal law may give you extra rights over personal information. Louisiana's public-records framework, the Louisiana Public Records Law at La. R.S. 44:1 et seq., governs records held by public bodies and does not open a private website's files. Even so, you can ask us to:
- Show you what we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Delete your data
- Stop certain kinds of processing
Updates to This Policy
This policy may change as the site changes. When it does, the new version replaces the old one here, and the effective date below moves with it. Check back if you want to follow how we handle information.
